Jon Polson was a member of the Erie Sailors 1994 Frontier League Championship team. The Florida
Marlins purchased Jon's contract from Johnstown, and Polson went to spring training with Florida the next season.
Jon and his wife Kim were married in 1996, which is when Polson began his coaching career - assisting
at UNLV and Reno High School.
Jon has been Head Baseball Coach at Damonte Rach High School in Reno, Nevada, since 2003, as well
as teaching Government and World History with the Washoe County School District. Polson was recently named History
Department Chair.
Polson was named Northern Nevada Coach of the Year in 2006 and 2007, and he and his wife have two
young boys.
