Tad Powers shared closer duties with Steve Mondile for the 1988 Erie Orioles. Powers appeared in 25 games, striking
out 30 in nearly 41 innings of work, saving 5 games and sporting a 2.21 ERA.
Powers played pro ball for nine years, followed by a stint as owner and manager of The Sydney Wave of the Australian
Basebll League. Powers also founded Futera Sports Cards, worked as an international scout for 11 years with the Cubs,
and one year with the Angels.
