David and Theresa Miller

David Miller was a member of the Erie Orioles starting rotation in 1988, going 8-3 with a 1.37 ERA in 11 starts.  Miller's astounding season included 7 complete games, 4 shutouts, and only 49 hits allowed in 85.2 IP.
 
David's 8-year minor league career was spent entirely in the Orioles organization, with his 2nd best year (to Erie) coming in Frederick in 1989.  That season Miller went 13-4 with a 2.88 ERA, and gave up only 49 earned runs in 153.1 IP.
 
Since his playing days David has spent 16 seasons with the Cleveland Indians - 7 years as a pitching coach in the minors, and 2 years as an area scout in NC, SC, and VA.
 
Currently David is the pitching coordinator of the Indians minor leagues - a position he has held since 2002.  Miller resides in Wilmingon, NC, with his wife Theresa, 2 daughters, and stepson.
